We are right on Snyder's Road East in Petersburg, an easy stop heading out of Waterloo Region on a Friday afternoon. The roadside stand is self serve and open 7 days a week, so you are not waiting on anybody's business hours.

Cooking over the fire? Take a bag of smoking wood too — cherry and oak over a campfire is a very good idea.

Where is Matt's Smokin' Firewood located?

We are at 1960 Snyders Road East in Petersburg, Ontario N0B 2H0 — Wilmot Township, just west of Kitchener. The roadside stand is self serve and open 7 days a week.

Is the wood properly seasoned?

Yes. All of the wood for smokers, grills and pizza ovens is well seasoned and stored indoors through the winter and spring. Dry wood lights faster, burns cleaner and gives you thin blue smoke instead of a bitter white cloud.

How big are the bags?

Smoking wood bags weigh 20–23 kg (44 lb). Bagged firewood is 50–60 lb. Bags keep the mess out of your vehicle and make the wood easy to carry and stack.

How do I pay?

Cash, and e-transfer on request.
